Here is a message I got on Facebook about a wdydwyd-inspired project in NC.
It's so cool to hear about these sorts of things.
Hi, Tony, Hope you are doing great. Just wanted to let you know a little more background on a NC project I'm involved with-- I invited
you to be a facebook fan of it as well, but no pressure there.
used wdydwyd as a starting place for brainstorming a project with
UnitingNC as we were getting it going as a new NC nonprofit, and then my
friend Dan took the idea and made it happen with many of our friends
and colleagues over the last few months. It might actually be catching
on! :) I was so happy to see a "welcoming the stranger" billboard in
eastern NC along I-95 last week and it felt great! Rather than a
progressive or social change vision, or another advocacy group, it is
our "moderate voice" group in NC that helps to meet people where they
are are and bring unusual allies together on a basic idea of dignity and
respect for people. I can't take any credit for the work that got done
on the photos and videos, but just wanted to send you a note and thank
you and acknowledge your part in it all.
