The keynote speaker, Tony Deifell, will include photographs or art by conference participants in his keynote address. Submit by Thurs, Feb 4 (midnight) to be considered. Instructions below.
Plus, everyone who submits will be included in the following slideshow on the Cal Leadership Symposium website and wdydwyd.com. Click here for a story
of how the "wdydwyd? project" got started.
(1) Create a photo, drawing or graphic
that answers "wdydwyd?" (why do you do what you do?) Your image must incorporate text in a creative way (here are some tools
to add text to images) But, often you can add text by drawing on an object by hand and taking a picture of it. One guy even wrote it huge on the beach.
(2) Register & upload
a. SIGN UP for this site using your full name (or) sign in if you've already joined.
b. Join this Cal Leadership Symposium group on this site (look for + Join in upper right corner).
c. Upload your image and tag it "CLS10"
(important so we know you're coming to conference. If you do it right, it will show up here.)
d. Title your image with a few key words from your image.
This is the screen you'll see after uploading:
(3) Here are some tips for answering the question.
Many people think leadership is just about being positive and aspirational, but it is really about being authentic in a powerful way… a mosaic of perspectives.
So, be candid, and even blunt about your motivations. See Tony's tips related to this. He'll explain more in his keynote about why this is important.
Also, if you Tweet between now and 2/4 with the hashtag #wdydwyd
, that may be included in the keynote too.
If you have questions, post below.
