I've always loved live performances! And, although those which I have seen specifically for this class have been very different from what I've previously been exposed to--I certainly like them a LOT. Its so much more immediate when you are physically there. LOVE IT.
I went to Medea and I couldn't relate much to it, I think women can do that better and thought it was rather weird but a very powerful play. In the end, the message was pretty clear. The thing I didn't understand was why the chorus girls were in tight leather that occasionally came off. Any significance to that I'm missing out on?
I also went to the Bella, Fleck and Hussain performance. That was simply one of the greatest performances I've ever been to. It was a casual setting between them and they were so humble yet brilliant. If I knew how it would have been, I would have made sure the whole class watched it.
