Jung Hwa Han commented on Samantha Hill's blog post 'hills, hills, and more hills'
"I wish they start a trolley or a shuttle to help people who live in dorms commute. Why have shuttles for people living in apartments who don't even pay the school for housing, and no shuttles for us? I'm pissed."

How much do you think the government should support art?

In France where the cultural exceptionalism is one of the highest values, the government supports artists rather vigorously. Once a French citizen is registered as an artist who pursues legit artistic activities regularly, she gets financial support from the government. It's a policy to help fostering art that they value so highly and it does help, but it also produces garbage arts and artists as byproducts; people without artistic enthusiasm or philosophy may claim to be artists while…See More

Jung Hwa Han - Because I feel insecure

This is a photo taken by a friend (unnoticed by me) when we were traveling together. This photo represents the insecurity that often guides me in the way I act among others, including during this trip. I tend to feel lonely, and sometimes act out of…

Enjoy but fear

I watched an Indian movie called "3 Idiots" the other night. It's a naively touching film, explaining life as something to be simply enjoyed to the fullest. Emphasized are: the power of positive thinking, how to follow one's purest desires, getting over with fear. The film tells you to "Do what you wanna do and enjoy! Life will take care of itself, so all is well!" Well, it's a great advice, but also a quite unrealistic one for many of us.Because fear remains in our nature. Possibly ever since…See More

I do what I do because I love

I love life so much that I want to enjoy every bit of it. Life is too precious to be wasted, and that’s why I strive to find out what makes me truly passionate, because I know that the knowledge of my true passion will direct me through life in a truly valuable way so that I enjoy every moment whether it be sweet or bitter at times. I believe that it’s my duty to be constantly in search until I find my real passion. Like many, I came to college without having quite figured out what my real…See More
