You finally have lunch break. Feeling adventurous, you decide to go into Westwood to grab a bite to eat instead of the usual Crunchwrap at Ackerman – it is summer after all. Naturally, you call up your friends to see if anyone is down to accompany you on your trek to explore Westwood cuisine. As luck would have it, the day you feel like doing something exciting, all of your friends are either busy or away. After feeling a little bit bummed, Ackerman seems more and more enticing – but that’s just the same old stuff. After a couple minutes of deliberation with you inner consciousness, you decide to go to Westwood ANYWAY just because it is more likely to be exciting and its way more probable to have STUFF happen to you there (even though it requires more energy to walk and the food is also more expensive). My name is Bryan Myint and I just want things to happen to me. This thirst for exposing myself to more experiences is why I do what I do. I feel like only through a vast collection of experiences and human interaction can one try to make sense of the world and become a more understanding individual. This understanding of our lives and how human society works is a goal that I will continually try to achieve my whole life – the drive to accomplish this goal is why I do what I do. Although I am quite certain that I will never fully understand our world, I feel like exposing oneself to as much of the world as one can is just something that would enrich one’s life both intellectually and spiritually. There is so much out there that I feel there is never an excuse to live a boring uneventful life and I would gladly go out of my way to make my life more interesting.
