Art should be something that is creative, innovative or difficult to produce. Its message does not have to be hard to grasp as long as it is genuine and relatable.
I think the best kind of art provokes the brain to think about its true meaning. A camera can simply record things in their most simple states but it takes a talented artist to warp an image to make it pleasing to look at but still hold a strong underlying meaning.
Sometimes the beauty of art is not understanding it. I feel like there are some things that are just inherently beautiful without needing an explanation of why.
I think it depends on how well an artist uses the tools to convey the message in his art. I don't think they're should be nothing that confines the definition of art and I believe that anything created for the purpose of communicating can be called art no matter how "hard" or "easy" it is to grasp it.
Anything that evokes a good vibe out of me is what I consider art. If I dislike it because it hurts my eyes or is distasteful (as in meaningless and too abstract), I don't think it's art.
Music is the art that I favor. It is enjoyable to listen to and each different type of music from country, rock, to hip hop is all different and even though not everyone can relate to all these types, they are all different and unique.

I also enjoy various kinds of music, but frankly, classical musics are kinda hard for me...

I think artist should balanced between abstract and realistic.
If whole people can't understand the meaning of his art, it just a garbage.
