I'm a huge opera fan. My favorite piece is the Phantom of the Opera. I like opera because it combines almost every element of performance such as singing, acting, dancing, and many others. What's your favorite type of performance? why?

Either sports or small acoustic performances. Most of the time I feel like big loud concerts drown out the singing and I think music is usually better when it is stripped down and played acoustically.
Live music, definitely. I love being at small venues, watching my favorite bands, drinking Stella Artois, dancing with people I love. Nothing is better than that. Music is never the same live-- it's a completely non-reproducible sound that you experience connected to the other people, yet personally on your own level.
When I went to Thailand, I watched a choreographed sword fight. That was by far the best art performance I have witnessed because of the physical mentality expressed within it. The movements made were swift and aggressive, and one small slip by one of the performers could have been fatal. This made the performance compelling and thrilling.
I'd say theater, because in a play, artists(actors) coexist with the audience, and the actors and the audience together produce an art. What I think is the most important in art is the communication between the artist and the audience, and the idea of "live" communication compels me.
Yes I agree with you. It should not be called art if we cannot communicate with the artist through their work. That's why I don't like some random works that are displayed as art but have no meaning such as a toilet.
Hip hop performances are my favorite type. I enjoy the history of hip hop and how it has progressed and changed. There are certain types of rap that I like more than others, but Kanye West is definitely my favorite!
I am a comedy kind of guy, I like it when people make me laugh so hard i almost fall out of my chair. I recently went to the laugh factory for a comedy show and it was most likely the most fun I have had this whole quarter. I was laguhing so hard my stomach hurt, thats when you know that you are enjoying yourself.
