Little bit more about me:
“Sara Adrian’s work fuses a lot of elements together, she has a formality plus a touch of folk/outsider feel. Her work is so varied and has a sometimes strange aura to it, it fits us like a glove.” -Don Hartmann, Dark World Gallery. From article http://www.worcestermagazine.com/content/view/3903/ Born in Columbus Ohio, Sara Adrian spent much of her childhood running wild in suburban fields and catching frogs and fish in the storm drain turned creek that ran past her house. At age eight a teacher told her that she had a gift at telling stories with pictures, and has never been without a sketchbook since. In her sophomore year of high school at Thomas Worthington, she was accepted to the Fort Hayes Metropolitan Education Center where she began professional study in commercial art. Upon graduation from Fort Hayes she received her associates degree, and promptly started college at Columbus College of Art and Design, where she received her Bachelors of Fine Art with focus on painting & minoring illustration. Today Sara Adrian works as a fine artist. She’s a painter, digital artist, and occasional illustrator and graphic designer. When she paints she uses oils and/or acrylics, occasionally combined with metallic leafing. Sara’s art is strongly influenced by medieval icons, but her subjects are everyday people and situations. Some say that her paintings are self portraits (but she’d never admit to that). She also uses alchemic symbolism in her work, but she doesn’t mind if you don’t see it. Sara loves to create little mysteries for those who care to find them. To see her work and for more information about Sara please visit http://saraadrian.com
