I have been taking photos of flowers and adding paint as I photograph them, creating a painting inside a photograph. I have always felt a strong attraction to birds and love to capture them in motion. This image combines a peaceful flowing picture of flowers and color with a seagull full of action and emotion. It reminds me of me that is why it is titled self portrait. The words in the image express one reason why I make art.
