In my answer, the "her" I refer to is my birth mother. I was adopted at the age of five and would not change that for anything. My birth mother made some mistakes in her life that could quite possibly have an effect on who I will become. However, I am aware of this and have chosen not to let it happen. Most of what I do, whether it be taking pride in my academics and athletics or simply striving to be the best person I can be is done in order to prove to myself as well as others that I am my own person and I will decide my own future. I have confidence that I can accomplish all the goals that I have set for myself. Her mistakes will not stop me from doing this.
