Swimming is one of the ways I challenge myself after my brain and heart surgery. I swim with my father, which helps me grow stronger. As a child, I was ridiculed by others for being weak because of my cerebral palsy and learning disabilities. I was determined to prove them wrong, and in the process I became Captain of the Varsity Tennis Team and an accomplished student at UCLA. Now my goal is to help others so they can accomplish what they want in their future. I am proving to everyone who did not believe in me that I truly can stay afloat.
