Fast track until now, I am a Senior Student Supervisor at Taco Bell in UCLA. I have worked for Taco Bell ever since the beginning of my freshman year, and I am currently a junior. Why would I be a hypocrite and work at the very place I disliked when I was a kid? The reason was because Taco Bell paid the most out of all the places on campus during that time: $9.25/hour. I figured that I would endure the hot temperature in the kitchen and the rude customers until I finally decide to quit and work somewhere else worthwhile. However I never quit, and I ended up loving my job.
I think one aspect about me that stands out among the staff was that I am enthusiastic to help others, especially the customers. During the time I was working at Taco Bell, I realized that if I gave a friendly approach towards the customers, I would get the same attitude back from them. When I was cashing, I smiled. When I was working in the food production line, I quickly attended the customers that received the wrong order. Although I am working at a fast food restaurant, I feel like the customers deserve the same respect as those who went to a dining restaurant. I realized that what I do wasn’t significant; why I do it was what’s important. Why do I always have a smile on my face? It’s because I want to help people. As a supervisor, I always tell my employees that customer service is always the first priority because it is the moral of why I do what I do.
Why do I do what I do? Because customer service is my number one priority.
