As a child you never know what is going to happen when you grow older. Right? Well, that is what I think. When I was a kid I would watch Disney movies were the princess would have to be given the “kiss of true love” in order to be awoken, and I would think, “Aww….that is so pretty.” As I progressed in my years, I never believed in “love at first sight” or “true love’s first kiss”. To me, they were fairy tells that you learned as a child and when you were old enough to comprehend these thoughts, you would know that it is all make believe…but oh, was I wrong. This guy, Michael, has proved me wrong. I’m not trying to be cliché here, but I literally fell in love with him when I saw his cartoon face on Fourth of July. Since then it hasn’t been easy to stay together. Not because we are on or off, but because of his step grandmother, who hated him, but that’s another story. I would never want to be separated from him, he has been the one I needed the most in my life. The reason why I do what I do is for him, I cannot wait till after college and we can finally just be together and start a whole new chapter just about us. I also want to prove everyone, especially his grandmother, that we can make it together. No matter how many barrels she throws at us, we will jump over them together. I want to show everyone that he is not the kind of person they believe him to be. I think the reason why they don’t think we will make it in the end is because, many people do not believe that teenagers can be in love, but I want to throw it in their face that we have found true love, and its hella real. Sometimes it is hard for us to keep it going but when I fall down, he picks me up. I really hope we make it.
