Darkness; often interpreted as being void of light, a sinister and onminous presence or being. But to me, the darkness is fascinating. Without darkness, light would have no meaning, no reference, no comparison. One of my favorite quotes (which is unfortunately from one of the "Twilight" books, but please do not hold that against me) is this: "Without the dark, we would never get to see the stars." This is true in the most literal, yet genuinely poetic sense. Out of the dark can come some of the most beautiful occurrences. The way I look at it, darkness comes from all. It is not devoid of light or substance, but consumed by it. The color black itself can be made only when all hues of the color spectrum are combined. Darkness is truly saturation. "What is black lies in the dark, it can not be clarifyed, but it "is". It exists. It is creation, and it is beautiful." (-Unknown)
