“Why do you do what you do?”
I want to succeed in securing a happy future. Everything I do now will in some way help me somewhere along the road of life. I’m going to college because I want to get a good job after I graduate. I don’t know exactly what I want to do after college. I might want to go to law school or I might be done with school and ready to work. Since I am in school right now, I am able to keep my options open for the future. Since I’m going to a prestigious university where thousands of people would like to attend, this will help to get a better paying job. Even if my job doesn’t pay as well as I would like, as long as I am doing something I enjoy, that’s all that matters. Another aspect of my life now that will help in the future is being a student-athlete. It teaches me how to be hardworking, competitive and have good time management skills. I love being an athlete on a team sport because everyone really supports and cares for each other. Even if we are all competing against each other, in the end everyone is supportive. With the competitiveness I possess in sports, it allows me to be competitive in the classroom. Even if a class is really hard for me and I don’t do as well as I would like, I know I gave it my all. I feel like this is a good skill to have because my determination in sports and in the classroom will allow me to have good skills in the work force. I plan on getting a good job and working for a long time because I don’t want to be someone who stays at home. I am extremely driven and passionate about what I do now. I hope that I can maintain the same passion and spirit in my future, no matter where it may take me.
