I sing because I'm happy. It's about the only time I'm able to sing. If I'm auditioning or singing for a crowd, a lip quiver or a tremble will dominate the song. However, I've found that the only times I can truly sing are when I'm happy and overjoyed in worship for my Savior and God."When I think about the Lord, how He saved me, how He healed me..." are the lyrics to a famous worship song. These lyrics describe so well what runs through my head. Jesus Christ, the son of God, came down to earth and walked the life of a man in order to reach the cross and accept the punishment for the sins I've done. He not only did that, but he also gave me the musical ability to express my feelings through song. I am so unworthy, but having a gift and not using it would do no justice for God. Therefore, all I can do is sing. The music world has therefore become a key part to my life. Regardless of who I am or seem to be on the outside, it is the music inside that truly characterizes who I am. A simple example is that I have friends who say I look like Miley Cyrus. However, I can say that the music that I relate to more is that of Michael Buble's. His easy-flowing music and style compared to the pop sounds of Miley Cyrus really help me express who I am. I sing and live in music because it's who I am.I find it interesting that my life can be explained with a few songs, but I also find it a blessing that I am able to be comforted with music. Music is a blessing and gift given to me from God, and it makes me so happy that I am liberated from my sin and able to sing for God and God alone.I sing because I'm happy, and I sing because it's who I am. And who am I? I'm free.
