I am Ryan Hollingshead. I wake up every weekday morning for class at an early hour as I have done for as long as I can remember. I don’t miss class. I don’t skip class. I do my homework. When I am not in school, I am playing soccer. When I am not playing soccer, I am going to bible studies or church services. I fill my little bit of free time I have to hang out with my friends. Sounds like a normal life wouldn’t you say? But when you just look at what I do, you hardly scratch the surface of who I really am. I am Ryan Michael Hollingshead, I give my absolute best in everything I do, the cup is always half full, I attempt to be outgoing and always look to make somebody’s day. I don’t just go to school to get an education; I go to school to interact with people, to create friendships and to become as knowledgeable as possible. I am not looking for an A or a B in terms of the grades a receive on certain papers or projects, but I am striving for a deeper knowledge in everything I do, a discerning mind to be able to weed through the truths and false teachings that I come across everyday in life. In all that I do day in and day out, it all comes back to one main purpose. Everything I do is to glorify Jesus Christ, so that His name will be praised. I go to school so that I can have the education to be able to learn more about Him, and with more knowledge, be able to turn around and teach the next generation. I play soccer so that I can glorify Him. I want nothing more then to rely on His strength, whether I have the game of my life, or couldn’t have played any worse; He is my joy in everything I do. The God of this universe loves me, and He allows me to know Him and praise Him, why would I desire to live any other way?
