So my actions can reflect my intentions

Life is short and sweet. Although beliefs of after life differ between people and culture, there is only one moment at any one given time. The present becomes history, and once history is established, it can never be changed again. Therefore, history and the actions we do in that history is the means in which people can define who they are. Once history is set, no one can change it anymore. So everything you do and everything you say must be done with dignity and purpose. Without dignity and purpose, what you do is pointless. People’s impression of me is greatly affected by what I do, and the way they treat me is reflected based on my actions. Respect, courage, courtesy, humility, integrity, perseverance, self-control, and indomitable spirit: these are all characteristics people look at when they judge someone.

Of the billions of people on this earth, truthfully, how many people truly live without regrets? Pretty much every single person lives their lives out with regret. One of my biggest regret was that I was not able to keep one of my best friends to keep going to church. Born and raised in a Christian family, my friend, Brian, grew up knowing God and trusting in him. It wasn’t until high school that he began questioning his faith and asking himself why Christians are so hypocritical. He slowly began resenting the Christians around him and finally stopped going to church. He couldn’t believe in Christianity when Christians are the most hypocritical and fake people in this world. I tried everything I could, but I was not able to bring him back to church. Therefore, I resolutely decided that if I am to be a true and sincere Christian, I should live a morally righteous life. To emanate a vibe of purity and holiness so that non-believers can not say that I’m being hypocritical. Many people turn away from the church because of the way Christians act: being a perfect Christian on Sundays, but partying hard during the weekdays. The reason why I do what I do is so my actions can reflect my intentions of glorifying God. I strive to prove to non believers that there are Christians who strive to be the nice, generous, giving, and holy.
