Why do you do what you do?This is who I am….I am usually quiet.But at times, I can be loud.I don't like taking chances.I try to be kind to othersAnd respectful at all times.Every day, I wake up late.Skipping breakfast,I rush to class.Concentrating deeply,I take down notes.With friends,I talk and play.In my room,I take naps and study.I keep busy.I am a lefty.Putting pencil to paper,I draw.On the court,I dribble, pass, and shoot.I listen to music,Almost any kind.Whatever sounds good to me.In the evening,I hit the books.And of course,Talk with my friends online.That is what I do…Everyday.This is why…I am having the time of my life.But my family seems so far.I can’t forget them.We are very close.I want to make them proud.On the phone,Late at night,I grow nostalgic.But life is different now.Food is not served,It is purchased.Laundry is not done for me,It is done by me.When I need somethingI must get it myself.No one tells me what to do.I decide.With trust in my own judgment.I am in full control.Is this new freedom scary?Of course.Is it necessary?Absolutely.
