I am a sister, daughter, and friend. These are titles I hold dear to me, but they in no way completely define who I am. I am just a girl whose values I hold stay true in all that I do.I’ve danced for over a decade, all types from traditional to modern. I am not a dance major. I do it for the enjoyment of the art. I believe that more than taking classes merely for fun would simply ruin the passion I have for dance. I am a competitive person who loves the adrenaline brought from stage performances; but I do not like to test my abilities against those of others. Every dancer has a unique style all there own, and that is what makes the world of dance such a beautiful and diverse place. No one stands able to judge others performing stills, because everyone is creatively different. This shows strength and acceptance. Tolerating those around you can prove difficult to handle at times, but pressing on and knowing that everyone is remarkable in their on ways.I am notably remembered as one of those people who read for amusement’s sake. The girl curled up with a Jane Austen novel. When the world seems tough, diving into the realm of fiction seems to just take the edge away even if it is only for a little while. Problems in stories: men, love, and even platonic relationships appear to be so simply complex, and by the end of the story the conflict is resolved and the characters are content. If only life truly worked that way. Trusting comes so easily for me, and I never was one to question the motives behind a decision made. But break that trust by being disloyal, and its not so easily reclaimed.Acceptance, strength, commitment, and trust are four of the many core values that help to guide my actions and responses in all aspects of my life.
