By 2500, all of mankind will be in space. To be honest, I am not certain if that is the case, however, what I do know is that due to increasingly rapid technological advances; the space age is going to come sooner than we think.
Ever since I was a child, I’ve constantly thought of what is next or what is going to be happening in the future. For example, I have waited for years for the iPhone to be brought to Verizon, and now that fantasy has come true. Being 20 years old, I have only experienced a small portion of life, yet I seem to feel that I have experienced a lot. In those 20 years, I have played many sports, made many friendships, taken classes at school, listened to music, played video games, and many other countless things. But, what still amazes me is how fast all my fantasies are turning into realities. Just yesterday, I thought to myself, how am I going to get a job or an internship; and due to interviews and rewriting my resume, I have finally landed an internship for the summer. I always fantasize about how I want to get a degree from a University, get a great job, have a great girlfriend, live in a great town, etc. All of these things will come true because it doesn’t matter what other people say about you, it all comes down to what you believe is true, and what you want for yourself. There are a couple common phrases that we as kids hear very often, one being, “You can do anything you set your mind to,” and two, “Don’t let anybody tell you otherwise.” These quotes used to annoy me and really just make me think how stupid somebody was to believe them, but now, at the age of 20, I am starting to realize why people believe in them and what they actually mean. What I have realized is that, you do not need to be an engineer, nor scientist nor writer to make a fantasy become a reality; sure they might possess a skill that you might not, but in the end, it is you who holds the power to make any fantasy become a reality.
