WDYDWYD...

Jessica RuizArt and Architecture 10Discussion 1KWDYDWYD?I am who I am because of the household and environment I grew up in. My parents and most parents I imagine have a strong influential role in every child’s life and instill in them the first morals, standards, traditions, and so on which the person adheres to. I love my parents and have not rebelled, therefore much of my makeup and personality stems directly from them. However, there are things that I do because I am simply me. They are habitual and come from an unknown source. Things like curiosity and over-thinking situations, along with mastering awkward moments and always “people watching” come from just being me, Jessica. I am a student, a dancer, a friend, a girlfriend, a sister, an employee, an optimist, a rule follower, and an ambitious woman. I try my best in all that I do. I like to be on time. I am not an activist or up for confrontation and arguments; I am a strong person of faith and seek good in everyone I meet. I say I’m a joiner but not in the negative connotation. I love people. A day at the beach, not to just soak the sun with friends or play in the waves, but to observe behaviors and try to see into other people’s lives with a quick glance or moment, absolutely fascinates me. I am a thinker to the fullest but mostly of quirky, random, far fetched thoughts that pertain to nothing except wonder and genuine curiosity about human connections, interactions, emotion, and patterns. “Why” questions have always been the hardest. I find that the reason why I am the way I am comes down to practicality, my Catholic traditional values, and the responsibility I hold for myself to achieve success; much laughter, a healthy family, bettering someone in any way, and a long life with a loving husband.
