I am Jamie Tyrrell. I am a freshman at UCLA. I graduated from Granite Bay High School, and I live in Granite Bay. I am on the UCLA Men’s Water Polo team. I play water polo because I love aquatic sport and I love the competitiveness of the sport. I have doing water related sports for almost my entire life, mostly swimming as kid. I got into water polo at the age of 12, and ever since I have loved it. Water polo is a very tough sport and that’s one thing I like best about it. In order to be a good player you have to be tall, strong and a good swimmer. No matter how good you are in this sport you can always get better. Every day I play I feel like I can’t keep going, but the struggle and the thought of getting better keeps me going. Motivation is big thing in the sport because in order to be good you must do a lot boring and long conditioning. I play this sport because it very intense and I love seeing myself get better I every day I work at it.
