Destiny RodinoArt & Arc, Sec 110/16/09This is My DestinyMy name is Destiny Cierra Rodino and I was born on December 21, 1990. But who am I really? I am a daughter, granddaughter, niece, sister, and cousin. I am a very family oriented person and my families well being comes over everything and anything. I am a friend, best friend, girlfriend & teammate. I am a loyal, light-hearted person by nature, as well as outgoing and friendly. Softball is who I am. I am a lady Bruin and a left-handed pitcher. Determined, goal oriented, stubborn and passionate are just some of the characteristics that I possess. I am a girly, sparkley, gigley, fun-loving, happy, kind-hearted, hard -headed, determined, athlete.As an athlete, I play softball. It is what I live, sleep, eat, and breathe. It is my sanctuary, my get away from the outside world. Softball is my world all in its own. It is where I can practice my craft, my God given gifts and put them to good use. Softball is my passion, my first love. Without it I would be lost. Softball is who I am! Being happy is very important to me. I love to laugh, it’s the best medicine. I believe its crucial to surround myself with people that can make me laugh and are happy a lot of the time, it makes life more enjoyable. I am a big sports lover. Whether it be spectating or playing, as long as I’m involved, I love it! I love to love and be loved. Spending quality time with people who love me as much as I love them, aka my friends, family, and boyfriend help define me.Now, why do I do all that I do? Simply, because I love it. I am a big lover of life. I am so passionate about everything that I do. No matter the task at hand I will put my whole heart and soul into it. Doing what I do, playing softball, hanging out with people that love me, has really taught me a lot. Softball has shown me that there are things bigger than myself, that there should be no prejudices, that comradery and faith can overcome any obstacle. My family and friends and boyfriend have shown me real love, compassion , and taught me to pass it on to whomever I come across. A smile goes a long way.
