Amy Berman1LWDYDWYD- Don't StopI don’t stop because I want to excel in every way possible. I do what I do because I have seen my parents struggle in order for to give me everything they can for so I can successes. To excel in every way does not just mean succeed in gaining the best job possible but also being the best person I can be. With laughter, happiness, and the joy of helping others. My parents immigrated to America from South Africa with almost no money and barely a job in place with two small children. They left because they disliked the racial segregation and thought that I would be horrible to have us kids grow up in place where color determined where and what school you had to go to. They hated this hatred and did not want this type of thinking to foster unto me. My mother would take an African American friend of my brothers to the playground and she would be given dirty stares and rude comments. Due to the corruption in South Africa, my parents immigrated. They worked hard and built up a company to supply all that is necessary for me to succeed. Making morals and education key components that have been derived into to me. I am determined, motivated, and always inspiring to do more in order to gain m success. That is why I don’t stop, whether helping an autistic boy learn how to play soccer or reading hours and hours until I know I understand the topic in school, or listening to a friend. I feel these are the qualities of life and I want to utilize everything I have to do more because I have the opportunity. I don’t stop because I want to excel in every way possible.
