Who, What and Why?

Who I am? I’m Dane Worley, a confident, honest, competitive and hard working being. I take a lot of pride in everything I do and I am a complete perfectionist about many things. I was born in Tustin, Orange County California. I think of myself as a person with humor, while others might part of the time, I am always the one laughing. I am a kid who is always looking for a good time and takes pride in attempting to never be boring. I look at myself as a very loyal friend, brother and son. My grandparents are very close to me but my parents are really close. My mom and I are close because when I was only two years old my father died of Melanoma, skin cancer. I am an extremely goal orientated person. I set my goals high and have completed every goal I have set for myself at this point. My mind is always on what is going to happen next, not often on the present and never on the past, however, I learn really well from past experience and mistakes I have made. I love to travel as much as possible. The beach is where I go to relax and have fun and would consider myself outdoorsy.What I do? I am a member of the UCLA men’s volleyball team and volleyball is what I do. I play this sport because it relieves me from everything else going on in the atmosphere around me. When I step onto the court, I am a focused individual who’s only desire is to come out as the victor against whomever my opponent may be. I was recruited to the UCLA team because of my fire and enthusiasm that I bring every point of the match. I love to bring energy and get my adrenalin pumping. I am the most competitive person I know and will do what it takes to win. I play volleyball because it is my passion.
