Why Do I Do What I Do?

What makes me who I am? I am a 20 year old student at UCLA who is majoring in Business Economics, minoring in Accounting and specializing in Programming in Computing. I don’t really think there is anything about me that makes me stand out too much from the rest of the crowd.I have good grades, I work hard and I have an internship at the Walt Disney Company in Burbank. Before that, I interned at Sony Pictures Finance in Culver City and Morgan Stanley Smith Barney in Woodland Hills. In my free time I like to eat, watch a lot of different television shows and go to the gym.I do what I do because I want to be the best. I want to stand out from the crowd. I want everyone to look at me and see what a success I am. I work out and eat healthy to make myself look better, it is not because I just want to be healthy or I just enjoy it. All my internships are so I can get a better job out of college for myself. It is not totally because I just want to work right out of college but rather because that is what society deems we should be doing, especially for business majors. If I don’t get a full time job offer I would consider myself a failure, which does not fit into my desire to be the best. Even my specialization in Programming in Computing is geared towards me getting a job in consulting, because I hear that it looks good to recruiters. I realize that I let myself get shaped by those around me so I can be the best I possibly can be. I do what I do because I think that is what is expected of me and I want to succeed in everyway.
