In the summer of 2007, the subprime mortgage crisis occurred. It had many causes. It affected the world’s economy. Many companies suffered bankruptcy, and other companies’ stock values decreased quickly. The world’s economy melted down.
Since I am interested in the economy, I was curious about this situation. Thus, I became researching it by reading financial newspapers, such as the Mail Finance. As I did so, I realized that the economy is more complex than I had thought. It was much more than the economics section of the newspaper, much more complicated. I realized that I needed to study economics deeply to understand this subprime mortgage crisis.
As I continued to read financial newspapers, my fascination with economics grew in spite of the fact that it is difficult to understand. I also read the political and international sections in order to obtain a more thorough understanding of economics. Political and international relationships, and each national economy relates closely to the world’s economy.
The United States is the center of the world’s economy and the most influential nation on the planet. It also excels in higher education in economics. Thus, I decided to come to the United States to study economics. I hope to study economics more deeply in order to achieve my greatest desire, that is, to work with stocks and the stock market. I aspire to be a stock analyst someday, as I have not completely lost trust and confidence in the economy. There is indeed much to learn, and I believe that the studying in the United States will provide me with the education I need.
