I am an eighteen year old male of southern blood. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, my family and I moved to San Diego, California when I was nearly three. Despite my deep southern roots, I am your stereotypical southern California kid. I live on the place I love most: the beach. If I'm out of school and not in water polo practice I'm at the beach surfing or just relaxing with friends. Most of my time is consumed with class and practice- two things that I do not always enjoy, but things I certainly respect. I go to school not only to learn the facts, names, or dates the person at the front of the room is preaching, but to grow as a person and get a better understanding of myself. This is how I also feel about practice. Water polo is one of the most physically demanding sports and can ware you down. I am a firm believer in hard work. I think one can reach any desired destination through persistence and hard work. I remind myself of this everyday when I'm physically exhausted in practice or mentally drained at my desk. I know I must push myself beyond what I know I am capable of doing to reach my goal, and in turn better myself.
