Why do you do what you do?

This is who I am. My name is Andrew Tran. I’m a UCLA student, guitarist, and car tuner. I’m from Fountain Valley, California. Although I’m Vietnamese, I barely can speak the language. I’ve been in Boy Scouts for about 7 years, and I’m currently an Eagle Scout. I’m usually quiet and shy around new people I haven’t met. However, once you get to know me, you’ll be surprised of how outgoing I actually am. I’ve always been the guy whom the girls think is really sweet, but never want to date. I’m the nice guy.This is what I do. I procrastinate often. As a matter of fact, I’m writing this at 11:28 PM the day before it’s due. I listen to almost every type of music out there, from underground trance to mellow acoustic. I’m a facebook addict. I’ve been playing guitar ever since I taught myself back when I was a sophomore in high school. I recently got a new car – a Civic Si – and have been tuning it quite a bit. I’m the person who’ll help you with your homework even if it’s 1:00AM. I’m the guy who’ll help you with your problems and listen to all your complaints. I’ll be the last person who’ll tell you to give up. Like I said, I’m the nice guy.This is why. I procrastinate because I’m lazy. I guess you could say it’s because I work better under pressure and time constraints. I used to play guitar to serenade the ladies, and still do, just to a lesser extent. Now, I do it to express my feelings and emotions. I also love to hear the relaxing acoustic sounds that come from the instrument. I tune my car because I want to be faster. Although that might sound quite shallow, it holds a deeper meaning in my life. I’ve always wanted to get to destinations quickly, whether it be places or goals. I’m the nice guy because I feel like I couldn’t say no to a friend in need of help, no matter the situation.
