There are three types of people, people who believe the future is going to get better, people who believe the future will be worse, and those who do not even think about the future. I fall into the first category. I have high hopes and dreams for the future, and that is motivates me to do what I do.I am Alan Hwang and I study hard, I go to class, I work out and I party. Your past defines who you are, and I would like to change my definition. I used to be fat, a disgusting memory that I would like to purge from my mind, so now I work extra hard to look my best. I was not exactly the most popular kid at my school but I am okay with that. I understand rejection and have received my fair share in the past but now I am striving to never be rejected again.This goal can be achieved by augmenting my social status as well as my physical status. One way to do this is to become a model/actor. This has always been my secret dream, as it seems embarrassing to say that is what I want to do with my life. I want to get famous and I want people to respect me for what I do and how good I look. I want to fall in love with a famous star and lead a happy life. However this may be too grand of a dream to come into fruition.That is part of the reason why I am studying to be a surgeon. Along with money and status, I care for people and want to do what I can to help improve their lives. This is a much more realistic goal and one that seems achievable given the opportunities I have now. I know that giving is much better than receiving and it makes you feel good inside. I am glad that I have hopes to be in a profession that can be helpful.
