WHY I DO WHAT I DO

This is who I am. My name is Nigel Green and I am an African American male. I am 21 years old in my fourth year at UCLA. I am a self motivated person and I am driven by my own desire to succeed and by the people that are around me who push me. This is what I do. I am person who not hesitate to lend a helping hand to someone who is need of help. I do what I do because it makes me proud to see other people who are less fortunate be able to achieve at something or become something in life. I love giving a helping hand to anyone on the street but often I am not financially able to provide the type of help that would help them become more successful in life. I do this because it is something that comes natural to me. When I see or here of people that need I make a point to lend a helping hand. Sometimes I seem to do this to a fault but this apart of whom I am. I am willing to give people in need of help almost everything because I know that I will be able to easily obtain the things that I have given away because of my future plans and my socioeconomic status in life. I do what I do because I want people who don’t have the chances that I have to have those very same opportunities in life and have a chance to succeed. I do what I do because it makes me proud to see people accomplish the dreams that they have personally set for themselves to achieve. I feel as if in some small way that I am making a difference in the world and that means something to me. When I help people I feel as if what I am doing is making a difference not only in that person life but in mine as well. I feel that helping people achieve their own dreams also encourages me to achieve mine and that is why I do what I do.
