work hard, play hard

I like being as busy as possible. I also like staying well rounded, probably because otherwise I might actually go crazy. I try my hardest in school because it feels good to succeed. I exercise every day, and push my limits, because that buzz I get afterwards also feels good and is a nice break from school. I socialize to have fun interactions that help me learn about myself. Actually, I think everything I do helps me learn more about myself, and a balance and variety keeps me centered, with both alone time and time with friends. Everything that I do because I have to do it, such as school, I give my all because I don’t like wasting time. It makes me much happier when I end a busy day exhausted, knowing everything I did was productive, whether it be studying, going for a good, long run, or going out with friends. So many people I know never take a second to enjoy life, especially here at UCLA, because they are racing around worrying that they will fall behind. I try to take time to reflect and live in the moment, giving each moment my all. I try to keep the perspective of “work hard, play hard,” and trust that I won’t get myself into any problems so long as I keep it up at both of these
