Even though there are obstacles to teaching I love teaching art and graphic design to teenagers. Teens tend to be more focused on the personal rewards of learning while adults tend to be more goal oriented. As long as you keep the lessons fun with teens things will run smoothly. Get too technical and theoretical and you might lose them. Art and design for teens should be focused on self expression and achievable goals. Confidence building is very important with teens. I would love to make more money and teach college art students who are more ambitious but I am enjoying the rougher undiscovered diamonds in the rough
