That`s me and my art. This proverb is open for interpretations: the origin “a bird in the hand” has for me sometimes a materialistic meaning and searches also for security. As artist in society I have not so much security. But in myself - “ a bird in the head” - I feel free like a bird with wings of creation, freedom and peace with myself instead of waiting what society offers. Bloom where you planted! The wise side from “ a bird in the hand/head” is, that I can go further with something what I own, what`s in me instead of dreaming of things, that I may never reach! It is an appeal to oneself to look to the own talents, they asking for development! And the last german thing is; if somebody here has a bird in the head he is a little bit grazy – I love to be “grazy” in the sense that I see things different: it is a revolt against the effort from some kind of worlds to make the brain mechanical and industrial.
