DJs like me forge technology with art, and we call it music. Mixing electronic music is pretty complicated. Listening to two songs at the same time is difficult enough, but extracting and matching the beats of two songs -- at the same time-- is where it gets really tricky. It’s as if I rip a song apart with my ears to get to its heartbeat and, without thinking, build it back up in time with the second song. And when I do that, I get a pleasant rush of adrenaline as two songs coincide perfectly. That moment is what it’s all about.
