my best friend is an aspiring photographer and she went on a missionary trip to sumba in indonesia, and took a bunch of pictures while she did work with little ones in the bad areas there. i thought it was so amazing to see how these kids have virtually nothing but each other (the ones in the picture are a sister and her younger brother) and still manage to have fulfilling and joyous lives. makes you see that with love you have everything you really need in life... so that's why i say that it's the answer. i think if we can embrace that ideal and escape from our culture's warped views on what life is about (like seeming rather than being, and wanting rather than appreciating what we have) then we can start to do it right and live with all our souls....everything would be so much more meaningful i think...
