This photo of a pipet, test tubes, and a test-tube rack conveys my genuine motivation for why I do the things that I do. I want to discover new cures for diseases, so that no one ever has to hear the words "You have cancer." or "You have AIDS." and helplessly realize that they only have a couple months to live.
