Many people who first look at this photo will view the duck as sad and lonely. However, I see it as independent, just like me. I want to be an independent person who does not have to rely on others to be happy or successful. If you look carefully, you can see other ducks in the background of the photo. The metaphor of that is that even though the duck is alone, there are others right beside him if he ever needs help. I want to become a person like that: independent but not far away from the love of my family and friends.
