I took this photo when I studied abroad in Spain this past fall. Although it originally was not for this assignment, I felt it was by far the best photo that demonstrated why I do what I do. It is a picture of me at the top of Montserrat, a famous mountain in the autonomous region of Catalunya, Spain. I always try and push my limits and I crave the feeling of butterflies in my stomach. It reminds me I'm living my life and not just passing through the motions. My favorite quote of all time is from a short story called "The Station" by Robert J. Hastings. "Regret and fear are twin thieves who rob us of today." I live my life by this motto to take full advantage of the present, being ever mindful of the reward that comes with risk.
