9/11th Education Trust

9-11.jpgThe September 11th Education Trust is a non-profit educational organization that aims to educate students about the horrific events of the terrorist attacks. The September 11th Education Trust has lobbied hard, and there are 6 states that will have a September 11 unit added to their curriculum.Part of the materials includes a video of interviews with eyewitnesses, including Hillary Clinton, Muslim scholars, and Rudy Giuliani, who at this point seems incapable of talking about anything else. The foundation’s website has more information, but the goal is to make sure future generations understand the event and its impact. Everything related to the September 11th Education Trust and its materials is funded by charity with no military personal loans whatsoever. So do you think that September 11 unit should be added to our curriculum? Well its time for you to voice out what you really feel about 9/11 tragedy. Keep us posted here at WDYDWYD Network. We love to hear your feedback about this.

  • Great cause, Dylon.

Here is a photo that Jessica added to the site of a firefighter saying why he does what he does.

The wdydwyd? Project could be a cool one for you all to do in your curriculum... a very personal and creative way of helping people understand the even and its impact. I know many people who said 9/11 shifted what they want to do with their lives. It'd be great to hear those stories. Let me know if you want to collaborate, I bet there are some artists on here than might be interested in it too.

  • I've heard that people who volunteered to help in the aftermath of the attack are still dying from ground glass, chemicals, and even bone-fragments that filled their lungs, when at the time they were told the air was okay to breathe. Are you including any follow-up on these people's stories in your discussion of the impact?
