You also get to learn a lot about things you never could have guessed would come your way. One day I wrote about the history of butterflies and how they are harvested in other countries and sent here. Another day I met UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon and learned how the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee works. The possibilities are endless, and that’s what keeps it interesting. I knew I’d never be one to sit behind a desk and do the same thing every day. Another perk in writing – you can go anywhere and still have a fun job.
