Chris Downey - an architect who recently lost his sight

After working as an architect for two decades and starting his own firm, Chris Downey lost his eyesight after brain surgery in 2008. It didn't stop him from doing his craft. Now, he just sees the world differently.

    A very courageous man. My partner is an artist who is slowly going blind, and I am constantly amazed by her resilience and wells of optimism and grit. It is often easy to take such an amazing gift as sight for granted. The steadfast commitment of Mr Downey is inspiring.
